INTERCLUB DRESSAGE - 7th April
You must be a financial member and have 2 qualifications (1 may be unmounted) to participate.

INTERCLUB TWO DAY EVENT - 16th June
You must be a financial member and have 6 qualifications (2 may be unmounted) to participate

MVRC versus SDRC -TBA
Any financial member of one of the above mentioned Clubs may participate.  Please come and join in the fun.

*JUNIOR, SENIOR & MASTER RIDER AND MOUNT OF THE YEAR - 29th September
You must be a financial member and have 15 qualifications (4 may be unmounted) prior to 23rd September

*INTERCLUB HACKING, NOVELTIES AND JUMPING - September 8th
You must be a financial member and have 12 qualifications (4 may be unmounted) prior to 23rd September.  A rider aged under 10 years shall be eligible to participate with 6 qualifications.

(*4 of these qualifications must have been gained after 1 July 2002)

Riding Club Rules

1.          A full set of rules are available upon request.

2.          All membership subscriptions must be paid in full promptly unless prior arrangements have been made with the Treasurer.

3.          The Master, Deputy Master(s) or other appointed officers will lead all rides, followed by members riding in formation as requested by the Master.  Particular attention being given to formation as directed on highways and in traffic.  Riders must not pass the Master.

4.          It is requested that all horses and riders be neatly turned out. A Club Saddlecloth is compulsory for all Club and InterClub activities.  For Hacking and Dressage events a correctly fitting recognised hard hat must be worn.  For Novelty and Jumping events a correctly fitting horse riding helmet with retention strap approved to Auts/NZ Standard.

5.          Members (Horses and Riders) must complete the stated amount of club rides to qualify for competitions in club gymkhanas.  All members must be financial before taking part in any competition.

6.          Members (Horses and Riders) are required to complete 12 recognised club rides to qualify for competition at InterClub.

7.          A qualification will be recorded only if horse and rider meet at the starting point and participate fully in any organised rides within the club.

8.          New members may be enrolled only at the invitation of the Committee, which reserves the right to refuse any nomination without assigning the reason.

9.          It is the responsibility of each member to sign the attendence register prior to the commencement of the days' activities and again at the end of the day before leaving the club grounds.

10.          Canteen facilities are available each Sunday.  Orders for pies and pasties may be placed prior to the commencement of th day's activities.

11.          Any constructive suggestions are most welcome by the Committee

12.          Any complaints chould be made direct to the Comittee in writing

13.          No horse is to be ridden faster than a trot on the club grounds unless under supervision or competing in any event being held.

14.          Gate keys may be purchased by members. (see Treasurer).
